HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE RACES?

You can register for the either the Half Marathon or 1 Mile Fun Run at select Fit 2 Run locations or by visiting our registration page.

HOW MUCH DOES THE RACE COST?

Registration for the Half Marathon is $75.
Registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run is $10.

Pricing will increase on August 6th and October 12th, so sign up early!

HOW DO I KNOW I’M REGISTERED?

When you registered you created an account with Active.com.

Once you’re logged in, it will show you the races you are registered for.

Don’t remember your login? No problem, just run on over to the “Forgot Password” section to retrieve your information.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL?

Yes, your confirmation email will come directly from Active.com

WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE COVER?

Your registration fee covers your race entry which includes your timing bib, tech-shirt, entry to the Beer Garden (21 & Up) and goodie bag.

Half Marathon registrants that finish the race will also receive a finisher’s medal.

1 Mile fun runners will receive a finisher’s ribbon and a conquistador helmet!

CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY?

This is the only Half Marathon in the Bradenton Area and we highly recommend registering prior to race day. We anticipate registration filling quickly and cannot guarantee available spots on race day. If you are unable to register ahead of time Race Day Registration will be available on site.

HOW DO I GET A REFUND IF I CANNOT ATTEND?

Registrations will not be refunded under any circumstances. If you are unable to attend, please contact us.

HOW DO I GET MY RACE PACKET?

Packets will be available for pickup on Wednesday, October 12th, Thursday, October 13th and Friday, October 14th at Fit 2 Run UTC.

Note: Runners registering for the Bradenton Area Half Marathon after October 7 will have their race shirts and medals shipped to their home after the race. Pick up race bib & packet ON RACE DAY! 

CAN I PICK MY RACE PACKET UP ON RACE MORNING?

Race mornings are dark and full of terrors (Sorry, we love Game of Thrones and couldn’t resist).

Volunteer efforts will need to go into setting up for a smooth race thus we strongly recommend that you pick up your packet prior to race day.

CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK MY RACE PACKET UP FOR ME?

You will need to pick up your own race packet with a valid photo ID.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY RACE BIB/ TIMING CHIP?

The timing chip will be secured to the back of your race bib. If you lose your bib/chip, just get to the registration booth as soon as you can and we can get you another one.

DOES THE RACE HAVE CORRALS?

Yes! There will be corrals near the race start/finish line only. The course will be properly barricaded and coned but will not have corrals along the race course.

DOES THE RACE HAVE PACE GROUPS?

Pace times will be identified at the Start Corral however we will not have running pace groups.

WHERE CAN WE PARK FOR THE EVENT?

Bradenton City Hall and the surrounding parking garages are great options.  There will also be parking available at the Bradenton RiverWalk.

WHERE DOES THE RACE START AND FINISH?

The Race will Start and Finish on Barcarrota Blvd. near Bradenton’s City Hall.

WHAT ARE THE EVENT START TIMES?

The Half Marathon will start at 6:30AM.
The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 7:30AM.

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?

Pets and strollers/wagons will not be allowed on the Half Marathon Course.

IS THERE A “BAG CHECK” AVAILABLE?

Sorry we will not be holding any personal items however if you feel like shedding some items during the race, please drop them at a water station. We will do our best to get those items to the lost and found at the Finish Line, but NO PROMISES!

DOES THE EVENT HAVE HEADPHONE POLICY?

We have Bands, DJ’s, Mascots, Conquistadors and Cheerleader’s lining the race course. You can wear your headphones, but why bother?!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE ON RACE MORNING?

Please try to arrive at the race site no later than 6:00AM. We encourage you to come at least an hour early to ensure you have plenty of time to get parked, checked in and lined up.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR EACH EVENT?

The road needs to be opened and the finish line taken down by 10:00AM. Anyone still running after this time will not have their time recorded.

WHERE WILL THE WATER STATIONS, MEDICAL AID STATIONS AND PORT O LETS BE LOCATED ON THE COURSE?

Water stations, port o lets and medical aid will be available in numerous locations throughout the course as well as at the starting and turnaround points.

HOW MANY WATER STATIONS WILL BE ON THE COURSE?

There will be water stations every 1.5 miles at the Half Marathon. There will also be one water station at the turnaround of the 1 Mile Fun Run.

IS CHIP TIME OR GUN TIME USED TO DETERMINE AWARDS?

Chip timing will be provided by Lakeshore Athletic Services of Chicago, IL. They coordinate multiple races around the world and we are thrilled to have their expertise on site!  They will be clocking finisher’s as they cross the finish line to provide fast, accurate results.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY TIME AFTER THE RACE?

I guess you should have run faster or maybe trained harder? Just Kidding! Whether this is your 1st or 50th race, we want to ensure you have a great experience. If you feel, you have an issue with your time, please head to the registration area on site. A race coordinator and a representative from Lakeshore Athletics will look into the issue.

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS FOR AWARDS?

Age groups for the Half Marathon are as follows:
10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 75-79, 80+

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE AWARDS CEREMONIES?

Conquistador 1 Mile Fun Run awards will begin at 9am.
Half Marathon awards will begin at 10:15am.

IS THERE AN AFTER PARTY?!

YES! Join us at Darwin Brewing Co from 6-9pm on Race Day for a great after party with local beer, live music, great food, and more!  Additional info on Facebook.

ARE PETS AND KIDS STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?

Pets and Strollers will be allowed on the Conquistador 1 Mile Fun Run course only!

IS THIS EVENT RAISING MONEY FOR A CHARITY?

Sure is! We’re raising money for the Conquistador Historical Foundation. This Foundation supports Manatee County through various Grants and Scholarships. The Foundation has given over $750,000 away since 2000!

HOW DO I DONATE TO THIS CHARITY?

During online registrations, you will have the option to give to this wonderful charity. The suggested donation is $5, but you can certainly enter any amount you’d like. We will also be participating in the Giving Challenge in September, so please keep us in mind!
